Ez egy kitűnő könyv。 Alapos， könnyen olvasható， az érdeklődő műkedvelő kertészt， de még a kertészeti tanulmányai elején kódorgót is simán， zökkenőmentesen bevezeti a botanika alapjaiba， olyannyira， hogy pl。 a fotoszintézisnél megkapjuk a fotoszintézis képletét， elmagyarázza， hogy milyen a nappali és az éjszakai fotoszintézis， mi a Calvin-ciklus （elnézést， fogalmam sincs， hogy ez így van-é magyarul， fordítok） és hogy mi a sejtlégzés （ismét képlet， ami a fotoszintézis fordítottja）， mitokondrium st Ez egy kitűnő könyv。 Alapos， könnyen olvasható， az érdeklődő műkedvelő kertészt， de még a kertészeti tanulmányai elején kódorgót is simán， zökkenőmentesen bevezeti a botanika alapjaiba， olyannyira， hogy pl。 a fotoszintézisnél megkapjuk a fotoszintézis képletét， elmagyarázza， hogy milyen a nappali és az éjszakai fotoszintézis， mi a Calvin-ciklus （elnézést， fogalmam sincs， hogy ez így van-é magyarul， fordítok） és hogy mi a sejtlégzés （ismét képlet， ami a fotoszintézis fordítottja）， mitokondrium stb。 Egészen odáig merészkedik， hogy az ATP-szintézist emlegeti， meg arról mesél， hogyan lesz NADPH2 az NADP-ból （nikotinamid-adenin-dinukleotid-foszfát， ha valakit érdekel）， miután magához csap két hidrogénatomot。 Ez utóbbinak csak az a hibája， hogy ez nem ilyen eccerű s ezt a könyv elfelejti bővebben kifejteni， holott feltételezi， hogy az olvasónak halvány fogalma nincs minderről。 Mindegy， ez nem is igazán szükséges ahhoz， hogy valaki jó kertész legyen， ez maradhat a botanikusoknak。Ezzel a fenti， kissé unalmas bevezetővel azt óhajtottam érzékeltetni， hogy mennyire alapos és mindenre kiterjedő ez az RHS-kiadvány és tényleg。 Ügyesen fejezetekre bontja a tudnivalókat， a növényvilág kialakulásától kezdve a működésén át a szaporodásáig， a gyakorlati tudnivalókig， úgymint pl。 betegségek és metszés stb。， mindent tárgyal。 Rengeteg a fontos szakkifejezés， amit azért a műkedvelő kertésznek sem árt tudni， ha pontosan el akar boldogulni ebben a világban és valós， megbízható forrásból származó válaszokat szeretne kapni a kérdéseire。 A könyv 8。 fejezete a legérdekesebb számomra， ami a botanika és a növényi érzékelés határait tárgyalja mostani tudásunk ismeretében。 Beszél a fotomorfogenézisről， a florigén-hormonról， a fototropizmusról， arról， hogyan használják a növények a színeket， hogyan adnak ki hangokat és még millió más， nagyon izgalmas dologról。 A Botanika akcióban c。 dobozokban röviden foglalkozik kiemelt， az éppen tárgyalt témához kapcsolódó tudnivalókkal。A könyvet botanikai illusztrátorok， növényvadászok， botanikusok rövid életrajzai szakítják meg， ami nem csak szünetnek jó， hanem fontos is。 Az illusztrációk gyönyörűek， aki viszont szeretne is gyönyörködni bennük， az semmiképpen ne e-könyvet vegyen， mert a hatás elég lelombozó lesz。 A reprodukciók kicsik és fekete-fehérek， holott az RHS-könyvek nyomtatásban híresen szépek， érdemes beruházni rájuk。 Noha elsősorban a fent már említett két kategóriának íródott， mindenki számára élvezetes olvasmány lehet， akit egy kicsit is érdekel az， ami gyakorlatilag minden élet alapja a Földön és ami - elfogult véleményem szerint - a világ legizgalmasabb témaköre: a növények。 。。。more

Another beautifully illustrated book in the RHS gardening reference series。 I am currently doing a level 2 course and this is really at the entry level stage but I still love it。 The book is bound in a lovely hardback cover， the drawings are stunning and the information is relevant for anyone interested in their garden。There are some interesting biographies on famous gardeners and plants people to break it up too， which add a little something extra to this reference。
